Don Diego de la Vega is a dandy, the son of Alejandro, a rich ranch owner in old Spanish California in the 19th century. The big landowners keep the peones in semi-slavery and Diego, in order to defend them, transforms himself into Zorro, a disguised and masked Hispanic Robin Hood.
Athletic and ironic, gifted with the characteristics that made Douglas Fairbanks one of the great actors of Hollywood adventure cinema, Zorro becomes the champion of the people against the arrogance of the governor and Captain Juan Ramon, distributing his ‘Zeta’ in sword fights against the oppressor. In love with the beautiful Lolita Pulido, Diego has to contend with another suitor, Captain Ramon, as well as an unusual rival, himself when not disguised as Zorro.
The first Zorro film, which was followed by countless others, with Fairbanks and then with other performers such as Alain Delon or Antonio Banderas.
