The train carrying the President of the United States is expected in the small Californian town of Suddenly. The Secret Service agents on board choose to keep the town’s inhabitants at home as a precautionary measure and to identify each and every resident. However, they are confronted with three professional killers led by John Barron (Frank Sinatra) who have been paid to shoot the president…

Written by Richard Sale, Suddenly is a breathless thriller, a gold nugget of B-movie cinema. A few years later, it took on a whole new dimension after the assassination of President Kennedy in Dallas. It has been claimed that Lee Harvey Oswald attended a screening of this film a few days before JDK’s death. This precious example of film noir, masterfully directed by Lewis Allen, also boasts a remarkable cast, including Frank Sinatra and Sterling Hayden.
