Conductor Antonello Manacorda, one of the rising stars of the new generation of conductors, has chosen the German capital as his base and, in this production, leads the most Mediterranean of Swiss orchestras, the OSI (Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana). The programme illustrates his extraordinary energy and interpretive strength in the brilliance of Bartok’s music for strings and percussion and in Ravel’s piano concerto in G. With young Davide Cabassi as soloist.
