PHANTASIESTÜCKE Op72 by Robert Schumann

SONATE by Claude Debussy

SUITE ITALIENNE by Igor Stravinsky

Francesco Piemonteso is one of the greatest Swiss-Italian pianists of our time. He made his name with his admirable performance of the Grieg Concerto at the Swiss final of the Eurovision Competition for Young Musicians, and then continued his studies, quietly but with determination, first in Lugano and then in Hanover. His results were so brilliant that he was able to work with much more experienced and well-known musicians, such as Yuri Bashmet or, precisely, Heinrich Schiff. In addition to his incredible mastery of his instrument, what is most striking about him is the intelligence and originality of his interpretations, qualities that earned him third prize in the ‘Regina Elisabetta’ in Brussels in 2006, the toughest and most demanding of international competitions.
