Il cantante al microfono is a tribute to the figure of Vladimir Vysotsky, who died prematurely at the age of forty-two in 1980: a great Russian actor, poet and songwriter, a dissident repressed by the Soviet authorities in the 1960s and 1970s. Accompanied by the orchestrations of Filippo Del Corno, the Sentieri Selvaggi ensemble conducted by Carlo Boccadoro accompanies the singer Eugenio Finardi in twelve songs, including ‘A Volodja Visotsky’, which was dedicated to him after the death of his teacher Bulat Okudzava.
