The heroic resistance of a small Norwegian village against German troops during World War II. A very solid propaganda film, though beset by a myriad of problems: Errol Flynn was on trial for rape and Ann Sheridan was going through a divorce. All this did not prevent Lewis Milestone from doing his job with his usual skill and mastery.
